Malinamnam (Tasty) Meal at Manam

It's Christmas time already and you can't skip the week or weekend perhaps without visiting malls to shop or look for gifts.  However, going to malls is indeed tiring and makes one hungry as well.  And the hardest part is answering the question "where to eat" which we often hear not only inside malls with family but also during meet ups with friends or relatives or before lunch breaks and after office dinner.  Since I'm a blogger, I'm the one who always, I mean sometimes decide where to eat whenever with family or friends.  I usually choose a restaurant which I never tried or dined before.  So, what's I'm sharing you here is my first time eating at Manam restaurant in SM Mall of Asia together with family.  A friend recommended this actually.

Manam is a Filipino restaurant under The Moment Group.  It offers Filipino comfort foods with four branches to date, i.e., Fort, Greenbelt 2, SM Mall of Asia, and Ayala Fairview Terraces.

A Look Inside Mall of Asia Arena

Located on SM Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay, the new and recently opened indoor arena is a multi-purpose venue that can accommodate a seating capacity of 15,000.  It also has a full-house capacity of 20,000, which are 5,000 more than the Smart Araneta Coliseum.  It was designed for concerts and basketball games and can also be configured for boxing, theater, fashion and ice skating shows.

It was in the eyed-theme arena where the controversial Lady Gaga - Born This Way Ball Tour was recently held.  The public was not only awed by her show stopping performance, but by the venue, the new state-of-the-art SM Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena—according to Manila Bulletin.  Well, yours truly was not able to watch said concert. With the high-priced tickets, I don’t think so (haha!).  I just had a chance to look and experience the venue during our company’s event.

At the Coral Way, one of the main entry points.  Ticket is scanned and a sort of shield opens.

A long queue at snack bars.  There are snack bars on all levels.  I also noticed Krispy Kreme on the second level.

We had a complimentary snack (+ bottled water).

Btw, the arena has five levels.  The ticket indicates what section and row-seat are you.  Mine was at Lower Box (free seating).  Lower Box doors are on the second level.

Door numbers are noticeably indicated on the ceiling.  There are also Wi-Fi internet connections and smoking lounges.

These were the views from the Lower Box.

There are different sections inside the arena; from Corporate Suites, Patron VIP with meet-and-greet, Patron, Lower Box, Upper Box to General Admission.  Corporate suite is an exclusive and fully furnished room designed with its own lounge, mini bar, restroom, private gallery with cinema seats.

Hmmm..  Scoreboard feels like NBA  (anyone disagree?).

Here were some highlights of the event I have watched and attended.  My apologies for poor camera lenses.
Hosts for that event were Mr. Luis Manzano and Ms. Nikki Gil
A breathtaking performance from Ms. Ciara Sotto doing poll dancing
Song numbers from Mr. Xian Lim
And many more to mention.

There are more than 2,000 parking spaces on the south side of the mall. But you can conveniently park at the nearest MOA Arena Annex Bldg. in front of MOA Arena Coral Way Entrance with 1,400 more parking spaces (P45/flat rate) or at the open parking area located in front of SMX Convention Center (P30/flat rate).

Another tourist destination for entertainment and sporting events, certainly world class.  Till next time!  Smile

Vikings Luxury-Buffet Restaurant at Mall of Asia

I’m a small eater as to my better half’s point of view. Still, this wasn’t the first time I have been to buffets. Aside from weddings, fiestas and the likes (of course), I already tried at Dads/Kamayan/Saisaki, Cabalen; in Mandarin, Taal Vista and Manila Pen. To satisfy my curiosity and my husband’s enormous appetite, Vikings was sure on the list.

Vikings is located on Seaside Boulevard, SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City. They don’t accept phone in reservations, so our companions who arrived there first had us on the waiting list. We waited for one hour and fifteen minutes, I think. Good thing, there were couches outside where you can sit and wait comfortably.

For those who haven’t known this promo yet, you’ll be interested especially those who'll have their birthdays before promo ends.

Vikings is the newest and hottest eat and drink buffet in the metro today. It has a 600-seater dining room; sOOooo large and wide buffet selections with sumptuous feasts of delectable European, American, Japanese, Chinese and Filipino dishes.

Our table was adjacent to the dim sum area.

My husband had two mugs of beer.

We had these photos taken around 9:45 pm. There were some diners also taking photos of the area and the dishes.

There are lots of parking spaces (P30) around the building.

The ambiance and food are great.  For only P888 (+5% service charge), you will have and enjoy a luxurious dining experience just like the ones offered at some of the five star hotels in the metro.  And a perfect place to eat, drink, chat, celebrate and SQT (spend quality time) with friends and family. Smile
